1949年1月，中國(guó)人民解放軍將國(guó)民黨 50 萬(wàn)軍隊(duì)圍困于平津地區(qū)，總攻在即是否能和平解放北平，取決于天津一戰(zhàn)。此時(shí)的天津城內(nèi)，暗堡、工事林立，士兵荷槍實(shí)彈進(jìn)入狀態(tài)，大戰(zhàn)前的天津城已是一座煉獄。為了總攻的發(fā)動(dòng)掃平道路，解放軍炮兵偵察連連長(zhǎng)蔡興福、偵察兵馬寶樹(shù)、報(bào)務(wù)員廖楓、炮兵見(jiàn)習(xí)參謀葛貴忱四人臨危受命，組成解放炮兵偵察別動(dòng)隊(duì)，喬裝潛入天津城。此時(shí)，負(fù)責(zé)轉(zhuǎn)移北平守軍眷屬的國(guó)軍軍需官姚哲在憲兵營(yíng)長(zhǎng)錢卓群的暗算下成為通緝犯，帶女兒出逃時(shí)恰好與進(jìn)城的蔡興福一行人相遇，蔡興福挾持姚哲欲完成任務(wù)。隨著目標(biāo)任務(wù)的逐步明晰，姚哲被暗算背后的秘密、錢卓群企圖破壞北平和談的陰謀、蔡興福失蹤兒子的下落都漸漸浮現(xiàn)出來(lái)……

She takes Anton in and tends to his wounds. But there is great mistrust between the two. Together they cope with the harsh everyday life in the remote hut. They are looked after by 16-year-old peasant girl Charlotte, whose family pays Hannah not to betray them. And at night, they hear fighting between the German troops and Italian partisans. Over time, a cautious familiarity develops between Anton and Hannah - he, who has done terrible things in the war, she, who has lost her family and has been struggling with fear and loneliness up here in the mountains for months. They grow closer. Hannah finds out that Anton was no ordinary soldier. He was in the SS, a man of conviction, at least at first. Brutal truths come to light.
